“The sky is the daily bread for the eyes.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson

As a naturalist, I’ve always believed that paying close attention is its own form of storytelling. These photographs are what happens when I stop and look: at the light shifting through leaves, the bee suspended over a bloom, or the sky turning colors no paint could name. I hope that sense of attention and quiet joy carries through here. More photos can be found on Instagram.

“And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don’t believe in magic will never find it.” – Roald Dahl
